Clariana – clearing, or “bright spot” in Catalan – is a duo made up of Claire and Anna Besson, two talented young musicians from Perpignan. From Astor Piazzolla to Ravi Shankar, contemporary creations to traditional music, Clariana’s goal is to explore and expand the repertoire for flute and guitar. The European and South American twentieth-century compositions that make up the program envisioned for China are an invitation to go on a musical journey.
About Anna and Claire Besson
Anna Besson, a Cziffra Foundation prize-winner, trained at Paris CNSMD and the Conservatoire Supérieur in Geneva. She gained attention from a young age through her success at several national and international competitions. Claire Besson’s progress on the guitar has been equally brilliant and precocious.
