The international flautist Luisa Sello and one of the best chamber musicians of our time, pianist Bruno Canino, form a duo with a special and unique common denominator; the legend of the golden flute Severino Gazzelloni. Both spent their artistic life with him, Sello as his most appreciated student and Bruno as pianist partner.
The famous Italian Duo has recently played in Vienna, at the Schoenberg Center, attracting attention for its excellent skill and naturally perfect sound. Canino and Sello’s collaboration has been appreciated by international reviews and their interpretation leaves a deep impression on the audience bringing them closer to the classical music.
Named Italian Ambassador for Culture after collaborating with the orchestra of the Teatro alla Scala of Milan under the direction of Riccardo Muti, Luisa Sello began a concert career that involved her presence in numerous festivals and international concert series. Professor of flute at the Conservatory of Trieste she is guest professor at the University of Music in Vienna, Moscow, Madrid, Buenos Aires, Shanghai, Beijing.
With a huge career behind him, Bruno Canino has played all over the world along side artists such as Cathy Barberian,Salvatore Accardo and Viktoria Mullova. Canino is recognised as one of the great Italian pianists of today. He has played under the baton of Abbado, Muti, Chailly, Sawallisch, Berio and Boulez. Canino has performed with orchestras such as the La Scala Philharmonic Orchestra, Santa Cecilia in Rome, the New York Philharmonic, the Berlin Philharmonic Orchestra, the Philharmonia of New York, the Philadelphia Orchestra, the French National Orchestra and Concertgebow. Bruno Canino has been Piano Professor at the Milan Conservatory for twenty-four years and also teaches at the Academy of Music in Bern, the Scuola di Fiesole and the Escuela Reina Sofia in Madrid.
