Evoeh is anensemble that began life in 2005 as a vocal duo with guitar accompaniment. Since then, it has sought to bring out the varied colors of different types of traditional music, to recognize its history and to help us to appreciate our past.Now the group comprises six members, having added an oboist and a string trio. To this end the group has worked on compositions, transcriptions and arrangements of diverse pieces, from Sephardic vocal melodies to great classical symphonies, with the aim of bringing out the essence of what it is that has made this music so popular.
Born in Puebla de Roda, in Huesca, , she studied at “l’Aula de Música Moderna y Jazz” under Maggie Garbino and Isabel Soriano, and gained a deeper understanding of vocal technique through her work with the Sephardic singer Ellen Gould. She has studied with a number of well known singers, including Joey Blake and Hellen Rowson. She is a member of the vocal group “Mondo Aereo”, and of the children’s show “Un mon de contes” She also collaborates in music for a number of publicity campaigns, and a wide range of different projects, through which she has performed in the “Palau de la Musica Catalana”, the “Auditorio de Barcelona” and in the “Liceo”
guitar ：Jesus Olivares
Born in Campo de Criptana, in Ciudad Real, he studied in “l’Aula de Música Moderna i Jazz”. He graduated with distinction in classical guitar studies from the “Conservatorio Superior del Liceo” under Sergi Vicente. He has studied flamenco guitar with Manual Granados and has taken classes with such prominent figures as José Luis Rodrigo and Leo Brouwer. His particular interest in composition and arrangement have led him to participate in collaborations with various groups, as well as featuring in a wide range of recordings and working on the production of soundtracks. He is a member of the “Orquesta de Guitarras de Barcelona”. He has performed in the “Circulo de Bellas Artes de Madrid” and in Barcelona’s major concert halls, including the “Palau de la Música Catalana”
violin ：Natalia Brzewska
Born in Warsaw, Poland , Natalia is a graduate of both the “Conservatori Superior de Música del Liceu” in Barcelona and the “Mount Royal College of Music” in Clagary, Canada. Currently she studies in Belgium at the “Conservatoire Royal” in Bruxelas. Her great passion is for chamber music, for which she has won various prizes: first place in the Canadian Kiwanis Music Festival, Kamloops, Canada, with the Brewska Tong Nenniger Quartet; with the Delarc Quartet first place in both the “Acordes Caja Madrid” competition, 2008, and the “Pódiums de Música de Cambra” competition, Spain, 2008; and with the Diarts Quartet she took second place in “A Tempo” in Barcelona in 2010 and was a finalist in “Concurs Josep Mirabent I Magrans” in Sitges, Spain, in 2010. She has played in Canada, Spain, Poland Germany, Holland, China, USA and Belgium. On top of this she has distinguished herself through her work as teaching assistant to Bill in the “Sloot Mount Royal College”, Calgary (Canada) between 2005-2007.
viola ：Arabela Fernandez
Began studying music at the age of 10 in Figueres, Spain with prof. Fabian Tasart. At the age of 14 she entered the Conservatory Isaac Albeniz in Girona, Spain where she studied with Andrea Mameli. In 2011 she graduated from the studio of prof Paul Cortese at Liceu Conservatory in Barcelona .Throughout her career she has studied with notable professors such as Donald McGuiness, Aishan Pillae, Sven Arne Tapl, Orpheus string quartet, Arditti string quartet, ect. She was a member of orchestras such as JONC- Alevins, JONC, Jove orquestra Athenea, Interregionnal Orchestra, Maribor International Orchestra, Jove Orquestras. XXI, Orquestra simfònica de Sant Cugat del Vallès , etc.
violoncello ：Mariona Tuset
She was born in Catalonia, Spain. She began studying cello at the municipal Conservatory of Manresa(Spain). Graduated later in the Superior Conservatory of music of the Liceu in Barcelona under thetutelage of the Prof. Pether Thiemann. He has just finished a course of two years of development at theBuchmann Mehta Academy of Music in Israel, with the Prof. Hillel Zori. He has performed under the baton of great masters, such as Herbet Bloomsted, Zubith Mehta, Kent Nagano, among others. He has experience in all kinds of groups to Chamber music, but emphasizes in particular the Group of octets in cello with which they got honorable mention in Caja Madrid and with which he has participated in the prestigious Comer International Chamber Music Festival in Israel.
Oboe： Lucia Salgado Sabariz
Born in Ourense, Galicia, Lucía studied at the “Conservatori Superior de Música del Liceu” in Barcelona under the tutelage of Prof. Jose Manuel González Monteagudo. She has a diploma from the “Escola de Altos Estudis Musicais de Galicia” (España) where she studied with Prof. Christina Dominick and Prof. Esther Viúdez. She was a member of the “Jove Orquestra Nacional de Catalunya (JONC) in Spain, of the “Joven Orquestra Nacional de España (JONDE) and of the “Orquestra de Cámara de Valdivia” en Chile. She has collaborated with a number of different orchestras, including: Orquesta Academia del Gran Teatro del Liceu, Orquesta Sinfonieta de Vigo, Orquesta Clásica de Vigo, Wiener Jeunesse Orchester (WJO) among others. Currently she studies with Prof. Nick Deutsch in Leipzig, Germany.
