2 exceptional musicians Guo Gan (er’hu) and Adrien Frasse-Sombet (cello) meet for a unique moment of music and celebration, mixing traditional er’hu music, classical western cello part and some unforgettable duo versions celebrating a new king of fusion between east and west.
GUO Gan was born in Shenyang, China. Er’hu master, he is one of thefirst to popularize the instrument. GUO Gan is worldwide famous andplayed with artists such as Lang Lang, Didier Lockwood, Yvan Cassar.Gabriel Yried, Nguyen Le ....GUO Gan is playing awide range of repertories keeping the Chinese roots and soul. He wastaught by his master and father Guo Jun Ming (1940-2010). Besides, hestudies at Shenyang Conservatory of Music and became professor (1995).GUo Gan won the 1st prize in traditional music (1992). In 2001, GUO Gan,move to Paris, willing to broaden his musical experiences. There,hediscovers percussions and jazz. He is regularly invited to play in the mainEuropean and American festivals. He performed with Orchestra in Paris,New, Prague and China. GUO Gan is also creating movies music.
ADRIEN FRASSE SOMBET
Adrien Frasse-Sombet was born in 1983 in the Var region of the Southof France. His talent for the cello showed as early as the age of four. Hebegan studying the cello in Toulon and Marseille, he then was acceptedin the CNR (Conservatoire National Regional) of Paris where he wasgranted, by unanimous decision, the First Prize at the age of fourteen.He then integrated the prestigious Conservatoire National Superieurde Paris where he obtained a higher diploma with honors for his cello
playing. He studied with many of the great masters: Dimitry Markevitch(Switzerland), Aldo Parisot (Julliard School, Yale University, Canada),Michael Kanka… In Chamber Music with Jean Mouillère and ChristianIvaldi. He was awarded in a multitude music competitions. He has alsomade himself a name abroad, namely at the International SpringFestival in Korea, where he won a Gold Medal. Adrien Frasse-Sombet is
also a member of the Nouveaux Virtuoses association.
