The show has appeared in theatres around the world, and features a cast of 12 performers, who sing and dance their way through Elvis Presely’s greatest hits. They also perform hit songs of the 50’s and 60’s, including hit songs made famous by Bill Hayley, Paul Anka, Buddy Holly, The Supremes, and more.
The show appeared originally at the Sporting Club, Monte Carlo, in the summer of 2014, where it played to critical acclaim, with sold out crowds and standing ovations every night. Since then, it has appeared both in the UK, and the USA, where audiences have been extremely receptive to the production.
First half discovers Elvis in the 1950’s. Where as a young singer, he broke in to the charts with his rockabilly style. All the show singers and dancers perform on stage, as the show develops. Second half of the show moves to a later time in Elvis’s career, covering his hit records of the 1960’s and 1970’s.
The show is produced by David King, a multi award-winning and internationally acclaimed theatrical producer. He owns two major theatres in America, and has an honorary doctorate from Middlesex University in London for services to the performing arts. David has hit shows all over the world, and as executive producer of Spirit Productions, he is one of the biggest employers in show business today.
The show’s choreographer, Emma Rogers, trained at Bird College where she graduated with a B.A. (Hons) degree in dance and theatre performance. Since graduating, she has performed all over the world working in theatre and TV and has now established herself as a professional choreographer.
Emma Rogers has recently appeared on British television in Dancing on Ice (ITV) and at the Barbican Theatre in London in Crazy for Gershwin. choreographing in America for the U.S. Premiere of Rocket Man and the world tour of the new Michael Jackson Tribute show Man in the Mirror as well as appearing on Dancing King for DMAX UK and ABC in Australia.
